Haye and Gjergjaj close in on heavyweight battle

This week was the traditional final head-to-head press conference when Haye and Gjergjaj met with the media before the final face-to-face at the weigh-in.

Gjergjaj looks like he’s locked himself away and trained hard because he’s returned in fantastic shape, physically he looks big and strong and he’s over here looking to cause an upset.

His record speaks for itself. He’s unbeaten in 29 fights with 21 coming by knockout and he loves to end things early with 16 of them coming inside three rounds so he’s well aware that he’s hit the jackpot if defeats Haye.

The tension could be felt rising as Haye and Gjergjaj squared off for the face-to-face and locked eyes with neither man wanting to look away first as the cameras flashed and the video cameras filmed.

The better the opponent, the bigger the risk, the better Haye fights and knowing that Gjergjaj brings an awesome arsenal into the ring with him really fires the The Hayemaker up to lay it all on the line and go for the knockout.

At Friday’s weigh-in, the eve before the battle, you’ll get to see the physical condition of both men as they hit the scales and stare down one final time before it’s big fight time.

As announced in a newsletter there’s a brilliant entertainment line-up on Saturday night with KISS FM DJs Rickie and Melvin plus exciting live acts with MOBO award winner Lethal Bizzle, Grammy Award winning Fatman Scoop and soprano Laura Wright singing the national anthems.
