Earlier, Paul Smith Jnr opened the bill and made a successful return from almost a year out by stopping Bronislav Kubin in three rounds. Smith, 33, dropped Kubin twice in the second before finishing the fight in the next session to improve to 36-6.

Lightweight Jono Carroll pushed his own C.V to 10-0 with a six round points win over Jordan Ellison, whilst Callum Johnson proved too hot for Richard Horton to handle, scoring three knockdowns on his way to a first round triumph.

Also on the bill, Tommy Coyle laboured to a six round points win over Reynaldo Mora following a return from injury prior to Sean Mulligan and Ben Sheedy extending their unbeaten runs.

Mulligan won via unanimous decision over four rounds, whilst Sheedy recorded a second round stoppage.
