Chris Eubank’s son Nathanael Wilson foe named for Saturday
British super lightweight and estranged son of Chris Eubank, Nathanael Wilson is set to fight Ross Roberts in his second professional outing.
The 27 year-old, who made a successful start to his career in defeating Silvije Kebet at York Hall last month, participates on promoter Tommy Dove’s upcoming bill at the same venue this Saturday night.
Known as ‘Banks’ due to his ties to Eubank, Wilson has never been in contact with the British legend since his mother gave birth to him following a brief romance with the former two-weight world champion.
Wilson campaigns in the same division as his father’s old nemesis Nigel Benn’s son Conor who also got his career off to a winning start on the Anthony Joshua v Charles Martin bill at the O2 Arena this month.
Obvious talk of a possible future fight between the pair to rekindle old rivalries has already begun, although that would certainly be further down the line as both boxers forge an early path in the paid ranks.
Also on the bill in London this weekend, heavyweights Ian Lewison and Dominic Akinlade are pitted against Tomas Mrazek and Kamil Sokolowski respectively.
Lewison has been calling out the likes of David Price and Dillian Whyte lately after compiling at 10-2-1 record in the top division.
The rest of the card consists of light heavyweights Andre Bowen and Charlie Brown, super welterweight John Brennan and the middleweight debuts of both Ashley Bailey Dumetz and Richie Gray.
