Greg Cohen eyes world title for Rob Brant within a year

The victory finalized an incredible first year for the WBA #12-ranked Brant, which saw him go 6-0, 5 KOs, including four Nationally televised bouts, one of them a KO of the year candidate over Decarlo Perez on ShoBox: The New Generation in January.

He now sits at the top of the middleweight prospect/contender class and should be fighting for a world title within a year.

“When Rob signed with us, he told us to get him the opportunities and he’ll make the most of them and that’s what he’s done sensationally,” said Greg Cohen. “He’s the hottest up-and-coming middleweight in the world with some huge fights on the horizon. I couldn’t be happier for him.”

Cohen says it’s Brant’s work ethic that has led to his steady ascension. “No one works harder than Rob Brant in the gym and day-to-day. He eats right; he lives right and has no bad habits. And he never stops learning. Every fight has been easy to spot the improvements he’s made from the previous.”

Cohen says he’s currently negotiating with the camps of several prominent fighters to secure Brant his first major showdown. “Rob is ready for the top of the division now and we’re working hard to get him the right fight. And no matter who it is you can’t count him out. Every time we’ve stepped Rob Brant up in competition, he’s responded by becoming even more dangerous. It’s going to be a very interesting year for Rob Brant and his growing army of fans.”
