Amir Khan scales 161.2 pounds at WBC check weigh-in
Amir Khan weighed just over the 160 pound middleweight limit 30 days before the Briton prepares to challenge Canelo Alvarez for the WBC title on May 7.
Khan, predominantly a welterweight, has bulked up sufficiently for the task and now has just six pounds to shed in order to hit the catchweight of 155 pounds.
Canelo recorded a mark just over 163 and a half pounds as Khan weighed in 161.2 to keep within the World Boxing Council guidelines.
The pair meet at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas next month in what is the most eagerly anticipated fight of the year so far.
