Canelo taking Khan threat seriously
On May 7th, WBC middleweight world champion, Saul “Canelo”Alvarez defends his crown for the first time against Amir Khan.
“Canelo” is stressing that at this level of boxing there are no easy rivals and it would be a tactical blunder to assume that he will have an easy night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Saul and Amir will get into the ring at a catch weight of 155 pounds, which has led to some assumptions about a fight advantage for ”Canelo”, who has never weighed 160 pounds, which is limit of the division in which they will be fighting.
“I’m taking this fight against Amir Khan seriously. My preparation is the same or even better than the last one agains Miguel Cotto. I’m just focused on Khan, as I respect all my rivals,” added Alvarez.
The statements from ‘‘ Canelo ” are of clarity, because he and his team believe that this will not be an easy fight, and to assume otherwise would be a significantly serious mistake.
