Maltese heavyweight Billy Corito goes for revenge on April 8 when the Greek-born puncher battles Reinis Porozovs at the Aria Complex in San Gwann.
The 38 year-old was defeated by Porozovs over four rounds last month when making his UK debut at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford and will aim to rectify the result with a fringe MBC title on the line.
In the co-feature, Liverpool’s Nick Quigley will be looking to build on his recent good form when the middleweight contender fights Godwin Cudjoe over ten rounds.
Quigley, 27, has won five fights on the bounce since returning from a three-year absence last year. The Scouser also picked up a healthy cheque from an appearance on BoxNation in the ‘Total Combat’ format and goes into next month’s bout full of confidence.
On the same Yorkshire bill as Corito, Quigley halted Belfast journeyman Phillip Townley in the fourth round to record only a third career knockout and now boasts a record of 15-2 in the paid ranks.
Rounding off the triple-header is light-heavyweight Goran Bogdanovic, who will try at the second attempt to score a first victory in the sport.
Bogdanovic had previously lost out to Jamie Gelder via unanimous decision in December.
In further action, promising Dublin welterweight Bernard Roe will hope to secure a fourth pro victory on the card.
Tickets are available from any of the boxers on the bill
