Tom Stokes aims for six in a row on March 19

The 21-year old is fully prepared for the fight on Black Country Boxing’s ‘Cool Hand & The Gang’ show, sponsored by Grosvenor Casino Walsall, having had to wait an extra two months for the bout, which was cancelled in December.

“My preparation has gone great and I am in peak fitness now,” he told www.uko-boxing.com. ” I have had a tough training regime and I have sparred with a few opponents to get the rounds in.

“This week is my last week of sparring and then I will slowly wind down so that I am raring to go on fight night.

“I have had to wait a while to get in the ring with this being cancelled in December. I took a cut in sparring so I had to put the fight on hold so I am buzzing to get back to business. It was frustrating but it has given me extra time to get in the best shape possible and I will show that on March 19th.”

The West Bromwich middleweight has respect for Stoke scrapper Till but is confident he has what it takes to beat the 28-year old.

“I know he has a pretty poor record but Till is still a tough fighter,” Stoke added. “He is always game and likes to come forward and I will have to be wary not to let it turn into a war because that is what he will want.

“I need to use my boxing skills and stay sharp and if I do that then I am sure I will come away with victory.”

“I have had all my fights in Walsall Town Hall so far and it has always been a great atmosphere. It will be the same again this time around because I have sold most of my tickets and will be bringing a big support.

“I am a fighter with lots of ambition so I hope a win will be able to push me up onto bigger and better things.”

Tickets are priced at £30 (general admission) and £60 (VIP Ringside), and can be purchased by calling 0845 111 2900.

The weigh-in and aftershow take place at Grosvenor Casino Walsall, Bentley Mill Way, Walsall WS2 0LE (just off junction 10 of the M6). GC Walsall will have a presence at the Town Hall on the evening and have linked up with local taxi firm, Yellow Taxi’s, to supply a number of free taxi’s to take guests from the Town Hall to the casino post-fight.
