Chagaev, Browne hit the scales in Grozny, challenger slightly heavier
Ruslan Chagaev and Lucas Browne made weight on Friday ahead of their WBA heavyweight title clash on Saturday night in Grozny.
The pair are ready to lock horns at the Colosseum Sport Hall with Chagaev scaling 248.5lbs and Browne coming in slightly heavier at 249.
Chagaev, 37, makes another mandatory defence of his title following on from his first round knockout of Francesco Pianeta last July.
Prior to that, the ‘White Tyson’ spent twelve months out of action after defeating Fres Oquendo to claim the belt via majority decision.
Challenger Browne brings a big threat to Chagaev’s reign as the 36 year-old is undefeated in 23 contests and has a KO ratio of 87%.
