WBC champ Menayothin, Chitpattana move to 41-0, 36-0 respectively with fifth round wins

The City Hall Ground in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand was the setting as Menayothin defended his green belt for the fourth time.

Menayothin can now boast an impressive 41-0 record in the 105 pound division since the 30 year-old turned pro in 2007.

In the ten round co-feature at bantamweight, Petch Sor Chitpattana also recorded a fifth round triumph to push his remarkable C.V to 36-0.

Chitpattana is just 22 years-old but has averaged seven bouts per year in the paid ranks since making his debut in 2011.

The southpaw’s latest win over the inexperienced Vincent Bautista saw the youngster capture the vacant WBC Youth title and move closer to a chance at full world champion Shinsuke Yamanaka.
