Rashid Kassem promises exciting performance on March 19

The Danish lightweight has wowed fans with his explosive style since joining the paid ranks in April 2013, and as the level of opposition increases, the 24 year-old has said he will continue to deliver value for money as he looks to establish himself as one of the country’s top stars.

‘’It’s been a while since I last fought so I’m really looking forward to getting back in the ring,’’ said Kassem, who recently signed a long-term contract extension with Team Sauerland. ‘’I love fighting in Albertslund. The fans are amazing. When I hear them cheering my name, I always go a little bit crazy. They make sure I’m totally psyched up and ready to do my best.

‘’Finiello is probably the toughest opponent I’ve faced, but whoever is put in front of me, I’m there to entertain. It doesn’t matter if my opponent is the next Mike Tyson or a ‘nobody’, I want to win and I want to look good. Trust me, I’ll be entertaining until the day I become World Champion, and no opponent can change that.

‘’Finiello is a good fighter and will be coming to win, but I plan to put him under pressure and up the tempo as the rounds go on. Let’s see if he can go the distance with me. Whether it goes to points or I knock him out, I’ll make sure the fans get their money’s worth.

‘’I’m working hard for my success. I don’t have the same benefits some other fighters have, so I’m doing things my way. My dream is to become the best and nothing is going to stop me!’’

Kassem’s eight-round contest with Finiello is on the undercard of Micki Nielsen’s WBC International Cruiserweight title defence against former World title challenger Mirko Larghetti. Tickets are available online via www.billetlugen.dk or by calling (+45) 70 263 267.
