Black Country Boxing announce ‘Cool Hand & The Gang’ for March 19

Black Country Boxing are delighted to announce their latest show – ‘Cool Hand & The Gang’

The show, sponsored by Grosvenor Casino Walsall, takes place at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday, 19th March 2016.

Walsall’s popular super lightweight, Luke Paddock, tops the bill and is joined by fellow Walsall favourite, Martin Gethin.

‘Cool Hand’ Luke will be looking to build on his December victory over Chris Adaway as he plots a course to reclaim his Midlands Area Title in 2016.

‘Quiet Man’ Gethin boxes on home soil for the first time since his World Title Eliminator defeat against Ammeth Diaz back in 2013. The former British Lightweight Champion has fought the likes of Terry Flanagan, Derry Mathews and Tommy Coyle since and now, after a successful ear operation, is ready to make waves on the domestic boxing scene.

Midlands Area Light Middleweight Champion, Jason Welborn, is also in action as he looks to secure a third shot at a British Title. Although he suffered a narrow points loss to three-time World Title Challenger, Matt Macklin, last time out, the Rowley Regis fighter earned plenty of plaudits.

The Bowater brothers – super featherweight Des and welterweight Sid – are also in action alongside West Bromwich middleweight, Tom Stokes, Burton featherweight, Leon Gower, Newark super middleweight Chad Sugden, and Wolverhampton bantamweight, Kyle Williams.

Tickets are priced at £30 (general admission) and £60 (VIP Ringside), and can be purchased by calling 0845 111 2900 or directly from any boxer on the bill.

The weigh-in and aftershow take place at Grosvenor Casino Walsall, Bentley Mill Way, Walsall WS2 0LE (just off junction 10 of the M6). GC Walsall will have a presence at the Town Hall on the evening and have linked up with local taxi firm, Yellow Taxi’s, to supply a number of free taxi’s to take guests from the Town Hall to the casino post-fight.
