Floyd Mayweather-promoted Super Middleweight Lanell Bellows spoke to WBN this week ahead of his next outing against undefeated Antowyan Aikens on Tuesday in Las Vegas.

Bellows’ base of operations is the Mayweather gym in Las Vegas where he spends his time around the world’s best.

Learning under the guidance of the many top trainers the Mayweather gym has to offer, Lanell has the opportunity to mix with the likes of J’Leon Love and Badou Jack on a daily basis. Bellows was one of Jack’s main sparring partners ahead of his WBC title victory against George Groves last year.

“I sparred Badou and J’Leon for most of my last camps and there camps too. It’s been great work. They help me a lot and I help them too. It’s always a pleasure boxing with them. The TMT team is brilliant throughout.”

Bellows is around Vegas based Brit Ashley Theophane on a daily basis and he thinks a lot of the man set to challenge the flashy upstart Adrien Broner for Broner’s WBA World Super Lightweight title.

“Ashley is like my brother, he is always in the gym working hard and is always in shape. We train next to each other everyday and I know he will be prepared for Broner. If Adrien takes this fight lightly he could be in a lot of trouble as Ashley is ready to bring it for 12 rounds.”

Bellows has the fortune of being backed by the biggest name in the business Floyd Mayweather and looks to follow in the title laden path that Floyd has set for his fighters to walk in. With Ishe Smith, Mickey Bey and Badou Jack from the Mayweather setup all winning world titles, KO Bellows wants to follow in their footsteps.

“I’d like to win a minor title this year, such as an NABA title to give myself a world ranking. Next year I want to fight for a world title whether it be at 160, 168 or 175, wherever the opportunities arise I will take them. I would love to fight for an IBF or WBC title one day but for this year I’m focusing on picking up a title of note to help me achieve my goals.”

Tickets are still available for the show at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening that features all the top prospects from the Mayweather Promotions stable. Tickets can be purchased by calling 702-284-7777.
