Unbeaten Stoke prospect Kieron McLaren is ready to move up a gear and race towards title level in 2016.
The 22-year-old super lightweight ended last year with a smooth 6-0 record despite only managing to fight three times.
However, ahead of his seventh professional outing on Black Country Boxing and Hatton Promotions’ co promotion February 19th ‘Undefeated’ show, ‘Gunner’ is ready to build momentum.
“I want to be as busy as possible this year,” he told www.uko-boxing.com.
“Last year I had a few things with injuries etc which stopped me fighting as much as I wanted. But, touch wood, everything is going well now and I want to get out as many times as I can.
“This is the year I want to move on from being a prospect and step up and achieve something.”
Topping the bill on 19th February is Halesowen favourite Lennox Clarke(9-0) in an eagerly anticipated eight round battle with Harlow’s seasoned Richard Horton.
Ricky Hatton-trained quartet Nantwich’s Nathan Gorman (1-0), Market Harborough’s Reuben Arrowsmith (3-0), Romford’s Paul Upton (11-0) and Wednesbury’s Sam Evans (2-0) are back in action against as yet to be confirmed opponents.
Old Hill’s stylish lightweight Manny ‘Pac Man’ Zaber (3-0) and West Bromwich heavyweight prospect, Matt Gordon, complete the card.
Tickets are priced at £30 (general admission) and £60 (VIP Ringside), and can be purchased by calling 0845 111 2900 or directly from any boxer on the bill.
