Cruiserweight contender Tony Bellew is waiting by the phone for a call that could lead to a potential world title shot.
The 33 year-old has been on the cusp of a bonafide championship chance for well over a year now, but is adamant that he won’t travel abroad for the opportunity.
That means Bellew is being forced to hold fire whilst negotiations take place with the belt holders in the division until one agrees to take the offer.
Devout Evertonian Bellew wants to face either Denis Lebedev, Grigory Drozd, Krzysztof Glowacki or Victor Ramirez at his beloved Goodison Park in the spring on the back of an eye-catching European title win over tough Pole Mateusz Masternak last year.
