Oldest world champion of all time, Bernard ‘The Alien’ Hopkins is set to return to the ring in 2016 after skipping 2015 entirely.
The American last fought when losing out to Sergey Kovalev in a light heavyweight unification back in November 2014, having been linked to one final fight ever since.
Hopkins, who recently turned 51, held two world titles until just shy of his 50th birthday and intends to get straight back in at the deep end later this year.
Speaking to Elie Seckbach’s ESNEWS, the former ‘Executioner’ says he will once again be a massive underdog when he announces his 65th career opponent in the coming week.
It is already suggested that Hopkins will be pitted against ex-super middleweight king Andre Ward in what could be the final fight of his career.
