Adaway v Parsons: Brawl at the Guilldhall running order / preview

The 22 year-old takes on Bethnal Green’s Danny Parsons for the British Challenge Super Lightweight Title in his hometown of Plymouth determined to give his home supporters something to cheer.

“I’m really looking forward to being the home fighter for a change!” Joked Adaway, who has spent much of his career on the road. “On the big TV shows, the home fighter nearly always wins and because I have been the away fighter there have been some bad decisions and it can be quite disheartening.

“That’s not the case tonight and I’ve got that belt in my sights.”

After making his debut in his Plymouth, Adaway has since had 15 fights on the road with a mixed bag of result – winning 3, losing 10 and drawing 2.

However, amongst those victories was a Challenge Title win over Andy Harris back in September and Adaway is determined to add another belt to his list of honours on Western Country Boxing’s Brawl at the Guildhall show.

“This is the first time in a long time that I’ve been on home soil and I’m going to enjoy it,” he added.” When we did it last time I have never felt an atmosphere like it.

“Tonight will be even better as I’m topping the bill. Danny is a good fighter and one that will bring his A Game. It’s going to be a good fight but it’s one I’m confident of winning.

“I just want to thank everyone who has come out to support me and the rest of the lads. We’re going to give you a night to remember!”

A small number of tickets can be purchased on the door at the Guildhall. Doors open at 6:30pm with boxing commencing at 7:30pm.
