Michael Ramabeletsa aims to continue good form on Feb 20

Michael Ramabeletsa is looking to continue his recent success of February 20th. The South African’s return to good form continues at Preston’s Guild Hall where he contests the newly created British Challenge title on adopted home’s turf.

Ramabeletsa has been in with the best around, contesting the likes of Paul Butler, Kal Yafai amongst others. It is well known Michael has been unlucky to lose close decisions on numerous when boxing away from home, on many occasions above his natural weight of Super Bantamweight.

Times have changed however as Ramabeletsa, who is now an integral part of the MGM Manchester setup under trainer Johnney Roye; is looking to mount a real charge at titles in 2016, starting on the inagurial MGM Manchester show on February 20th at Preston’s Guild Hall. Ramabeletsa is one of the three co-main events on February 20th, as he boxes for the British Challenge Super Bantamweight belt.

‘The Troublemaker hopes a good performance on the 20th will get him a high ranking from the Commonwealth Council. The experienced South African believes at 34 that the time is now right for him to push on for titles and credits Roye’s influence as the catalyst in turning his career around,

“I have a lot of experience and I hope that will get me into big fights. I feel I am that level. Johnney and myself have been through hard times but Johnney never gave up on me and now everything has changed and things are good and have completely turned around. I have the confidence in Johnney to get me winning titles. I cant thank Johnney enough for what he has done for me”.

The MGM Manchester base in Preston is absolutely buzzing at the moment and Ramabeletsa has the fortune of sharing a ring in sparring with world rated Tshifhiwa Munyai, Malcolm Klassen, highly rated prospects Declan Geraghty and Ashley Peyton.

Peyton and Klassen join Ramabeletsa on February 20th’s bill. Michael now feels that this has helped his prepare for his upcoming British Challenge title fight on February 20th,

“Training has gone perfectly, I feel strong and sparring has been brilliant. I feel like a 25 year old, I live clean and I train hard. I am over the moon to be fighting for a title. It feels like a dream come true to finally be boxing for titles. If I win I would like to fight Gamal Yafai for the Commonwealth title”.
