At this week’s press announcement for Manny Pacquiao’s retirement trilogy clash with Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the co-feature bout for the evening was revealed.

WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham has agreed to defend his title in America against mandatory challenger Gilberto Ramirez despite initially looking for home advantage in Germany.

Promoters Sauerland won the purse bid for the contest last week but have now reached an agreement with Bob Arum and Top Rank to stage the fight on Pacquiao v Bradley 3.

Also on the card in Nevada, featherweight Oscar Valdez will battle former world champion Evgeny Gradovich, whilst 140 pounder Jose Carlos Ramirez is pencilled in to face Manuel Perez.

Undefeated fighters Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Alexander Besputin and Devin Haney are all lined to play some part in the undercard for April 9.

Pacquiao will bid farewell to boxing in a rubber match against old foe Bradley as the Filipino readies himself to fully concentrate on his political career.

For Bradley, the match-up represents the chance to overturn the only loss on his record and defend his WBO welterweight title into the bargain.
