Watch: The moment Wilder, Fury went nose-to nose in Brooklyn
Here is the moment world heavyweight champions Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury butted heads in the ring at Barclays Center last Saturday night.
As Wilder finished off his interview with Showtime on the back of a knockout win over Artur Szpilka, Fury was brought in to say his piece and duly took the microphone from Jim Gray. Fury belted out: ‘There’s only one Tyson Fury’ before asking Wilder, ‘What have you got to say about that, Deontay?”
Wilder responded: “We all know you’re just a phony, man. This is just an act. You know where I am. You know what time. I ain’t scared of nobody and I’ll come to your backyard for that my man,” then leaning in to eventually find himself nose-to-nose with Fury.
“Anytime, any place, anywhere. I’ll fight you in your back garden. I’ll beat you like Klitschko. You’re a bum!” Fury fired back as both fighters pushed their faces into each other in an explosive moment that looked as though it could go off at any second.
Removing his waistcoat and wanting to go right there and then, Fury threatened to steal the limelight from Wilder as the American continued his interview.
