Kraft brothers create WBC title history in Munich

First, 19-year-old James Kraft stopped Peter Orlik in the third round to win the vacant WBC Youth World Light Heavyweight Championship. Only 1 ½ hours later, his 22-year-old brother Toni knocked out Ferenc Albert in round seven and crowned himself WBC Youth World Cruiserweight Champion.

Both brothers clearly dominated their opponents forcing referees Daniel Van de Wiele (James) and Juergen Langos (Toni) to stop their respective fights.

On the undercard, Vartan Avetisyan stopped Balasz Horvath to win the vacant WBC Eurasia Pacific Light Heavyweight Championship.

The event was promoter by Alexander Petkovic (Petko’s Box-Promotion) in front of a sold-out crowd of 2,000 fans at Bavaria Film Studios. Because the show took place on the second anniversary of the passing of WBC President Jose Sulaiman, there was a special tribute to and 10-count for Don Jose before the main event bouts.
