Stephen Simmons continues his recently spell of activity as he headlines MGM Promotion Scotland’s Burns Supper Event on January 28th from Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Simmons has enjoyed two wins in two contests since the launch of MGM Promotions Scotland and looks to be the brand’s figurehead in the years to come, starting with another good performance in January. This will be the first time in over 18 months that the ‘Super Monster’ has boxed in Glasgow. His last appearance in Scotland’s largest city saw him stop Wadi Camacho in 10 rounds. The Edinburgh man seems very positive as he returns to action in the new year,
“I’m really looking forward to boxing in Glasgow in January. This will be my first fight on a dinner show as a pro. After this I want to be in big fight later in the new year picking up titles along the way”.
Simmons, who is arguably the biggest name at the disposal of promoter Sam Kynoch, has big ambitions in 2016 which involve titles and is in bullish mood as he new year dawns.
“I don’t see myself defending the Celtic title as I’m looking for other titles. The Celtic title doesn’t excite me. I am looking for British, Commonwealth or International titles in the first half of 2016. I’m there to take people out that get in my way.
