HBO presented a night of big fight action on Saturday as interim WBA champion Luiz Ortiz and Bryant Jennings clashed in the heavyweight main event.
The bout ended in the seventh when Ortiz dropped Jennings with a huge uppercut before halting the contest a short time later.
With the win, Ortiz moves closer to facing the winner of the rematch between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko or the eventual victor of the contest between Ruslan Chagaev and Lucas Browne taking place in March 2016.
The co-feature saw former world featherweight champion Nicholas Walters seemingly score a triumph over Jason Sosa at the higher weight, only to be robbed on the scorecards by a majority draw.
How two of the judges saw it 95-95 twice is a mystery as Walters failed to win for the first time in his career.
Also on the bill, Gabriel Rosado recorded a decision win over Joshua Clottey, whilst Yuriorkis Gamboa came out on top of a ten rounder with Hylon Williams Jr.
