William Hill, the proud sponsors of Saturday night’s Bad Intentions card at The O2 in London live on Sky Sports Box Office, are getting ready for the biggest night in British boxing since Froch v Groves II.

The bookies are already starting to see huge bets coming through for the top of the bill match between the unbeaten duo – Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua. One punter has staked £100k on Joshua at odds of 1/14 and stands to collect £107,142 should the 2012 Olympic champion be successful. Although that doesn’t tell the full story of the betting – the big punters may be backing AJ but over 77 per cent of all bets have been placed on Dillian Whyte at odds of 8/1.

The bookies are also starting to see money for Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan (9/2 from 5/1) to beat Chris Eubank Jnr (1/7) in the main support act of the evening.  Tony Bellew (1/4), who is currently starring in the Hollywood blockbuster Creed, is also attracting money in his match against the tough Mateusz Masternak (3/1).

“Bad Intentions has really caught the imagination of the British boxing public,” said William Hill Spokesman Tony Kenny. “That has been reflected in amount of bets that have been placed with us.

“There’s a clear divide between punters on who they think will win. The big punters are lumping on AJ, while the man on the street is plunging on Whyte.”

Joshua’s clash with Whyte tops a massive night of action, with Chris Eubank Jr and Spike O’Sullivan meeting in a final eliminator for the WBA World Middleweight title.

Kevin Mitchell meets Ismael Barroso for the WBA Interim Lightweight title with the winner facing newly crowned WBA supremo Anthony Crolla, Tony Bellew faces Mateusz Masternak for the vacant European Cruiserweight title, Joshua’s fellow Olympic gold medal hero Luke Campbell MBE defends his WBC International Lightweight title against Yvan Mendy, Paulie Malignaggi challenges Antonio Moscatiello for the EU Welterweight title and Heavyweight star Dereck Chisora also features.

Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte is SOLD-OUT – visit http://www.stubhub.co.uk/matchroom-boxing-tickets/ to get your hands on tickets.

StubHub is the official ticket partner and marketplace of Matchroom Boxing and Anthony Joshua MBE.
