On February 6 of next year, Liverpool-based promoter Stephen Vaughan has announced a packed show to take place at Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.
Topping the bill on the night will be a vacant WBU super flyweight title clash between the in-form Tasif Khan, fighting in his hometown, and the experienced Ghanaian Isaac Quaye.
Khan, 32, is on a hot streak of eight victories either side of a two-year absence from the sport and will begin as big favourite to pick up the belt against the 11-loss veteran and former Commonwealth challenger Quaye.
Vaughan offers six more bouts on the night, including middleweight Nick Quigley continuing his successful comeback against Sebastian Skrzypczynski over eight rounds, whilst Tony Moran battles Paakwesi Ankrah over six sessions at cruiserweight.
The talented Bernard Roe is handed a third pro outing on the card, whilst there are also places for super featherweight Jay Carney and light heavyweight Lee Boyce, who both fight for the fourth time professionally.
Prior to February’s event, Vaughan hosts another night of boxing at the Aria Complex in San Gwann, Malta where Shea Neary trained Billy Corito and Lee Kellett collide in a heavyweight main event on Friday night (December 11).
In the co-feature, Goran Bognadovic makes his debut at middleweight against Jamie Gelder.
Both shows are sanctioned by the Malta Boxing Commission, whilst this weekend’s event is for the Fight for Life charity in Malta.
Tickets for February 6 in Bradford are available on 07968 292 922, whilst you can call Paul on 99429336 or Charlie on 99452555 for tickets to the Malta show.
