A row over which gloves Tyson Fury will wear for his world title clash with Wladimir Klitschko has come to a head this week.
Fury, 26, opened up a can of worms this week when stating that the gloves he approved are not the ones he is expected to wear this weekend in Dusseldorf and has even threatened to pull out of the fight.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy brought up the issue, which Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente did not want to discuss publicly, although both then began a heated debate.
Hennessy said there is a health and safety issue with the original gloves that were sent as Fury kept hurting his thumb when attempting to get used to them.
A new set of gloves, not originally sent to Fury, have now been agreed and the fight is set to go on as scheduled.
