Two-weight world champion David Haye announced his first bout in 40 months on Tuesday as the Londoner prepares for another assault on the heavyweight title.
Haye, 35, fights WBA ranked Mark De Mori on January 16 at the O2 Arena in London in a bid to regain his place in the ratings and move towards the top operators in the division.
‘The Hayemaker’ last fought when knocking out Dereck Chisora in five rounds at West Ham’s Upton Park stadium in July 2012 and has seemingly overcome a career-threatening shoulder injury.
Opponent De Mori has lost just once in 33 contests, although the 33 year-old is yet to venture anywhere near world class and is something of an unknown quantity for Haye.
