Watch: Eubank Jr, minus father, refuses O’Sullivan head-to-head

Chris Eubank Jr made a first public appearance without his famous dad as the former interim WBA middleweight champion went through press conference formalities on Thursday.

The 26 year-old, who fights on the massive December 12 bill at the O2 Arena promoted by Eddie Hearn, cut a lonely figure without the ever-present Chris Sr. on his shoulder. Senior is currently in Australia to begin a stint on ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!‘ show this weekend and Junior has been left to fend for himself until fight night.

Despite confidently talking his way through the media gathering alongside forthcoming opponent Gary O’Sullivan, Eubank Jr refused to participate in the head-to-head finale.

Due to past antics by O’Sullivan, which include goading and kissing his foes during the face-off, Eubank stated that the Irishman ‘had lost the privilege’ of a staredown.

Hearn was then forced to stand between both fighters as the photographers took shots until Eubank walked away with O’Sullivan looking somewhat bemused.
