Richard Commey (22-0, 20 KOs) has had a late change of opponent for his fight on Saturday night at the dm-Arena in Karlsruhe, Germany. The Ghanaian lightweight will now face Kakhaber Avetisian (41-31-1, 23 KOs) following the withdrawal of Ramaz Bebnadze (16-2, 12 KOs).
Commey, who will be making his German debut, is coming off the back of an impressive eighth-round TKO win over Bahodir Mamadjonov in Las Vegas, which saw the Commonwealth Champion add the IBF Intercontinental strap to his collection.
On Saturday night, the 26 year-old aims to record his twenty-third professional victory and move another step closer to securing a world title challenge in what promises to be an explosive night of boxing in Karlshrue. Fans in his native Ghana will be able to watch Commey’s fight on Viasat 1 on Monday, October 19 at 22:00 (GMT).
Also in action is 20 year-old German knockout artist Vincent Feigenbutz (20-1, 19 KOs) who takes top billing in his hometown show with a first defence of his interim WBA Super Middleweight title against Italy’s Giovanni De Carolis (23-5, 11 KOs).
