EC Boxing to stage charity event in aid of Denis Boytsov

In a Berlin hospital, Boytsov is continuing his recovery and doing his first exercises possible. For the forthcoming rehabilitation phase, the young father will go back to Hamburg.

Erol Ceylan, promoter of the EC Boxpromotion, has for Boytsov, his wife Olga (25) and daughter Angelina-Michelle (three months) provided an apartment in the Hanseatic city. However, their costs are still expensive and funding is to be organized from the proceeds of a boxing match on October 24.

“If we do not raise the full amount, EC-Boxpromotion will pitch in the difference,” promises Erol Ceylan, who has a long friendship with the Boxer and also stated that there is a website here www.spendefurboytsov.de where the family can also be supported.

“This event will only serve to help bring Denis home,” says Erol Ceylan.

Featuring will be Adrian Granat, the next man contender or Ceylan in the heavyweight division. The 2.03 meter tall Swede is unbeaten in eight fights and takes on Darnell Wilson.

“I see it as a warm-up for Adrian. He could fight only twice this year due to a hand injury. Last year he was in the ring five times. He now needs to gain experience in order to secure a place among those who can take after Wladimir Klitschko with a place among the world leaders.

Granat’s next opponent is clear already, namely none other than Denis Bakhtov, whom he will face in December.

Nuri Seferi also gets back into the ring on the night, whilst cruiserweight Nikola Milacic will battle the experienced Hessen Oezcan Cetinkaya.

To learn about other fights on 24 October in Hamburg visit www.ecboxing.de. The event will begin at 17:30 clock, after 16:30 clock the doors of the gymnasium are open.

Proceeds from the evening will all go to the injured boxer Denis Boytsov and his family.
