Mosley, 44, put himself back in the win column following a loss to Anthony Mundine due to a back injury in 2013 and says he’s in the best physical condition to launch another bid to become world welterweight champion.
“I’m training and I’m in great shape. I did pretty good against Mayorga. It wasn’t too bad considering I had Al Haymon and others trying to block the fight,” Mosley exclusively told World Boxing News.
“I’m looking to get a title shot and fight one of these top guys. I want to make my presence known in the welterweight division, so I’m looking to fight any of these top guys.”
Following a brief run at 154 and eventually stopping Mayorga at the middleweight limit, Mosley clarified that he is only aiming to fight at 147 and has three potential fights in the pipeline for the next few months and beyond.
“I’m a welterweight. I’m not a middleweight and I’m not a junior middleweight. I’m a welterweight and there has already been a few people that have said they would fight me,” outlined Mosley.
“Juan Manuel Marquez, Ruslan Provodnikov and Chris Algieri, plus a couple more that said they’d get in the ring with me, but it’s kind of hard because Al Haymon has all the fighters and I think he wants to monopolize boxing to make things different.
“We are looking to fight again in December. Algieri and Provodnikov have agreed, so we just have to get the deal finalized, so we’ll see. They are both likely it’s just who is going to pick first.
“Provodnikov’s name came up, Chris Algieri also and maybe Marquez next year sometime after I beat one of those two and move on from there.
“I’m going to stick around for a few more years and make sure I put my print on boxing because I’m feeling great right now,” he added.
