Witter: Mayweather loves money too much, 50th fight will happen

Witter, 41, believes that there is just too much cash on offer for the self-proclaimed ‘Money’ man to let pass by and fans should expect an announcement from the pound for pound king before too long.

“Floyd loves the limelight too much and the money,” Witter told World Boxing News.

“Mayweather did what he does against Berto. He went in there and did what he had to do to get the win.

“I think he will come back for the 50th fight. I just can’t see him missing it as it’s too much money and he’s all about the money as he always says.

“The money he got for Pacman was unbelievable and it’s never going to be topped, but if you look at it, he’s still going to make a massive amount of money for a 50th fight.

“Also, if he’s that bit older, it puts other fighters in that position where they think they’ve got a chance to win and that’s his biggest avenue for making even more money,” he added.

The Yorkshire fighter is currently on the lookout for a comeback fight following a controversial defeat in France last spring and told WBN that hopes to be back in action sometime in October.
