Amateur star Magdiel Cotto signs with namesake Miguel, debuts November 14

At only 22 years of age, Magdiel was part of the Puerto Rico National Team that competed in the recent Pan American games in Toronto and other important international tournaments.

Cotto finished his amateur career with an outstanding record of 90-10 and is now ready for the pro side of the sport.

“Magdiel is a really good fighter. I had the opportunity to work with him and has great talent. We will give him the best tools for his development, but he has to work hard to have a bright future,” said WBC Middleweight Champion and Promoter Miguel Cotto.

“This is a dream for me, I have worked all my life for this moment. I will give it all to accomplish my goals and be one of the greatest,” said Magdiel Cotto, who will be making his pro debut in front of his hometown at Boxeo Al Maximo on Saturday November 14.
