‘Klitschko’s best win was Haye, a bottle job Mr Toe Breaker!’ – Fury

Fury, 27, faces the toughest test of his career in the formidable Ukrainian, although the former European champion sees it different and says Klitschko’s 2011 victory over David Haye is the only thing to write home about.

Haye, who pulled out of two fights with Fury before entering a three-year boxing exile, cited a now infamous toe injury for his points defeat to Klitschko in Hamburg, which the upcoming challenger couldn’t resist mocking in his latest interview.

“Klitschko’s best win was against a man called David Haye. I don’t know if you’ve heard of him, but we do know he’s a bottle job and he’s a Mr Toe Breaker,” Fury told Sky Sports ahead of their Box Office offering next month.

“And if that’s the best win of his career so far then he’s in trouble because that man wouldn’t even face me twice, never mind get in there and fight.

“So if that’s his greatest win – over a man of 6ft 3in who’s not really that good anyway, what’s he going to be like when he’s got a 6ft 9in Gypsy King in front of him?”

Despite being undefeated in 24 bouts, Fury remains a 3/1 against underdog with the bookmakers to become the first fighter in over a decade to defeat the four-belt the world champion.

Due to his sheer size and brute strength, Fury is expected to at least give Klitschko a run for his money on the night in Germany as the UK contender hopes to become the first world title holder to come from the traveller community.
