Armchair fight fans get their first chance to see exciting puncher Lyon Woodstock Jr next month.
BoxNation bring their cameras to Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Saturday, October 3 for a show promoted by Frank Warren in association with PJ Rowson.
In the top-of-the-bill fight, Birmingham middleweight Tommy Langford defends his WBO Intercontinental championship and the undercard features Woodstock’s fourth professional fight.
The 22 year-old super-featherweight from Leicester looks sure to be a fans’ favourite.
Woodstock, who had a 20-5 (17) amateur slate with Leicester Unity ABC before turning over this year with Jason McClory, launched his professional career with whirlwind wins over Reece Smith (38 seconds) and Elemir Rafael (two rounds).
Woodstock had his own chin tested by Michael Mooney in their four-round fight in Corby last week.
Mooney came in at late notice after Joe Beeden pulled out and, as always, the 30 year-old from Worcester came to fight.
Woodstock bloodied his nose and had him wobbling in the second, but Mooney dug in and in the third, he fired off a heavy, two-fisted salvo that had Wooostock backing up.
Woodstock was soon blasting back with heavy shots of his own and got behind his jab in the last to box his way to a 39-38 points win.
Woodstock said: “Everyone knows I can punch – and now they know I can take a punch as well.”
Next, Woodstock, who says his ambition is to become Leicester’s first British champion since Tony Sibson way back in 1987, meets Ibrar Riyaz over four rounds in Wolverhampton.
The show also features Ryan Aston and Nathan Graham clashing in an eliminator for the English light-middleweight title, along with Andrew ‘D’Animal’ Robinson, Josh Leather, Raza Hamza, Tyler Denny and Les Byfield.
