Ahead of Tyson Fury’s bid to become a world champion when he challenges heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko, younger cousin Hughie gives his verdict on Tyson’s title bid.
Fury is just under six weeks away from his clash with the undisputed world champion on October 24 in Dusseldorf and is well into training for the blockbuster fight.
It has recently been reported that uncle and coach Peter Fury has drafted in kickboxers for sparring to help Tyson prepare to go to war with the giant Ukrainian.
Now, fellow undisputed boxer Hughie has told WBN that his older cousin is ready to rule the division.
He said: “Tyson is looking great, his preparation is going brilliantly and come October 24, I have no doubt he will become champion.
“The fight is a tremendous moment for our family, we are all very proud that Tyson will be part of one of the biggest fights in British heavyweight history.
“It will be an even sweeter moment when he takes the title from Klitschko,” he added,
Peter Fury has confirmed that Hughie will feature on the undercard of the main event and a fight against English title champion John McDermott could happen in the future after the British board’s decision to call purse bids next month.
