Floyd Mayweather mulling over post-career movie involvement

The 38 year-old is said to be contemplating his next move carefully following 19-years as a pro fighter and acting or playing some part in the making of movies could be a distinct possibility for Mayweather.

“Just over the last week I received three major movie offers. So we fully expect that Floyd could be heavily involved in the entertainment industry because this is what he does. As I said, I know for a fact that with the significant entertainment offers coming our way that it’s definitely something that is going to occupy a lot of his time,” explained Ellerbe.

Mayweather added: “I’ve been approached on numerous occasions. But I’d rather be behind the scenes. I just feel like I had my time to shine in this world of boxing. But we never know what the future holds. Just keeping my fingers crossed and anything that comes my way then we’ll take full advantage of it.

‘Money’ fights Andre Berto in the 49th and final bout in Las Vegas on Saturday night and will certainly leave a huge void at the top of a sport which Mayweather has dominated for the past decade.

Mayweather needs one more dominant performance to hang up his gloves with a record-equalling triumph and is a massive 100/1 on favourite to do just that.

Opponent Berto, 31, has the opportunity to place himself as a major player at 147lb if his can pull off a massive shock and will have the honour of being the last fighter in history to oppose the world number one.
