Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach participates in his first meaningful contest for three years when the former world title challenger fights Alexander Povetkin on November 4.
The 35 year-old heads to Kazan in an attempt to claim the WBC silver title and a possible shot at full champion Deontay Wilder if he can overcome the ex-WBA title holder.
Wach has three wins to his name since returning from a suspension for a failed drugs test, having been open and honest about his wrong decisions in the past.
In his last high-profile offering, Wach lost every round to Wladimir Klitschko in a spirited effort and will need to avoid a second career defeat if he wants another chance at a world crown in the future.
