In the main event of the evening, Josh Warrington carded a shutout on all three cards to defend his Commonwealth featherweight title against Joel Brunker.

The Leeds man was never in danger in the fight and pleased the baying crowd in his hometown to see out a 120-108 decision across the board.

In the co-feature, Martin Murray recorded seven knockdowns against Jose Torres before the fight was called off in the fifth round, prior to Isaac Lowe picking up the vacant English featherweight title via a ninth round stoppage over Jamie Speight.

The ex-middleweight star stays on course for a massive domestic bout at 168lbs by recording the 32nd win of his career, whilst Andy Townend scored a seventh round knockout over Lee Glover to retain his English super featherweight title.

Cruiserweight Tony Bellew kept the cobwebs at bay with another warm-up bout in Leeds. The 32 year-old dominated Arturs Kulikauskis for the duration before a fifth round onslaught saw referee Steve Gray call a halt to proceedings.

Bellew is ticking over until news arrives of a forthcoming world title challenge and may well feature in two months’ time on the Rocky Fielding v Callum Smith undercard in his hometown.

One-time world champion Stuart Hall kept his comeback on track with a second victory in succession by out-pointing Arnoldo Solano over six, whilst Kal Yafai warmed up for his British title bout in October with a predictable performance against Aron Juarez. The impressive super flyweight dropped Juarez in the first session and the Nicaraguan didn’t fancy taking any more punishment.

Future opponent Jason Cunningham won every round of six against Marlon Prado to make it to their contest unscathed.

Welterweight Darren Tetley took every round of six from Mark McKray to remain undefeated on the back of Reece Cartwright continuing his progress at middleweight by taking out Liam Griffiths in two rounds. There was also a points win for Luke Keeler over Jason Ball at the middleweight limit.

Earlier, light heavyweight Arfan Iqbal opened the evening with a points win over Rolandos Cesna to improve to 10-0, before Hamed Ghaz stopped Dan Naylor in the very first round.
