Anthony Dirrell came in half a pound over the 170lb stipulated weight limit for his upcoming super middleweight clash with Marco Antonio Rubio.

The former WBC title holder was given a short period to lose the half a pound he was over at 170.6lbs and eventually hit 169.6, whilst Rubio came in at 169.4 and was able to rehydrate.

In the co-feature, Jamie McDonnell and Tomoki Kameda successfully made the bantamweight limit as the pair prepare to lock horns for the second time in four months.

The WBA title will once again be on the line at the Premier Boxing Champions event at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

On the scales, both fighters came in at 117.8lbs and can now focus on the task at hand.

Last time out in May, McDonnell won by the tightest of margins 114-113 on all three scorecards.
