Paul Holt tops Walsall Town Hall in October

The 24 year-old featherweight joins Errol Johnson’s growing stable and headlines ‘The Avengers’ show at the Town Hall on Saturday, 3rd October.

The southpaw has enjoyed a solid professional career to date, winning four of his opening six contests. He lost on points on his recent quest to be crowned Midlands Area Champion but, after taking the fight in just his sixth professional outing, Holt earned plenty of plaudits. Now, under Johnson’s guidance, the Brummie boxer is looking to push on.

“I’m really pleased to have signed with Errol,” he told www.uko-boxing.com. “He’s showed a lot of faith in me and to get top billing on my first show with him is amazing.

“I’m ready to kick on and am looking forward to what the future holds.”

Holt takes on Swindon’s Joe Beeden over six rounds as he looks to make a winning start to life under Johnson.

Tickets, priced at £30 and £60 Ringside, are available from Walsall Town Hall Box Office on 0845 111 2900.

Also in action on ‘The Avengers’ is Wolverhampton welterweight, Sid Bowater. The 25 year-old returns to the scene of his debut victory, an impressive points win over Iran’s Ali Wyatt in April, when he takes on veteran Londoner, Frankie Greeves.

West Bromwich middleweight, Tom Stokes, makes a welcome return to action when he steps in with Hull’s Luke Allon. Stokes, undefeated in his opening four contests, is back in action for the first time since March 2014.

West Bromwich pair – heavyweight, Matt Gordon, and super featherweight, Jack Summers – also return to the arena they sealed a debut win. Gordon and Summers impressed back in July and will be looking for similar outcomes this time around. Gordon takes on Poland’s Kamil Sokoloski whilst Summers steps in with Leeds’ Russ Midgeley.

Completing ‘The Avengers’ line-up are debutants Luke Walker and Leon Brown. Birmingham light middleweight Walker takes on Yeovil’s Bryn Wain whilst Wolverhampton light heavyweight, Brown, debuts against fellow Hull’s, Andy Neylon, who turns over himself in September.

Tickets, priced at £30 and £60 Ringside, are available from Walsall Town Hall Box Office on 0845 111 2900.
