Demonstrating intelligence and strength in the ring, heavyweight prospect, Sahret ‘The Hammer’ Delgado (3 -0, 3 KOs) managed to score a solid win by knockout at the Tomas Dones Coliseum in Fajardo.
In the fourth, the former member of the National Team of Puerto Rico Amateur Boxing intensified his attack and connected with a powerful combination of left and right to the jaw of Joseph Alexis Rivera to put him out of action.
“I did good work and had a great support from the fans. My opponent came to fight, but I kept him quiet by getting my hands in first without wasting shots. My coaches, Jose ‘Kike’ Rosa and Mr. Kahn said to attack a little more in the fourth round, so I did and got the knockout,” said Delgado, who is managed by Artist Design Management Corp.
“Once again, Sahret showed he has strength in those hands. It was an exciting for the fans to see the knockout. Now to continue to refine details of taking this young man to the pinnacle of boxing,” said Manuel Roman, promoter of Red Carpet Promotions.
It is hoped that ‘The Hammer’ will return at least twice more before the end of this year.
