Danny Green back in business following almost three years out

The 42 year-old last fought when out-pointing Shane Cameron to claim the vacant IBO title at 200lbs but immediately retired after the contest.

Two and a half years later and Green announced that he was scratching his itch to fight again and subesquently had no problem taking every round from Bolonti in Melbourne.

Bolonti was attempting to restore his reputation somewhat after his controversial clash with Jean Pascal earlier in the year and did so to an extent by going the distance with ‘The Green Machine’ in front of a hostile crowd.

All three judges at ringside came back with decisive 100-90 scores in favour of the home fighter who can now move on to bigger things depending on his continued ambition.

Also on the bill at the Hisense Arena, Jack Brubaker recorded a ninth career win by knocking out Yang Xing Xin in four rounds, whilst Andre Meunier lost for the second time in his career against unbeaten heavyweight Hemi Ahio.

Jason Moloney made it 4-0 against Danilo Gabisay at super bantamweight, whilst Andrew Moloney did likewise versus Ronerex Dalut
