Just days after announcing his move to MGM, Jamie Kavanagh has signed a four-fight deal with MGM Promotions.
MGM promotions, who work strongly alongside Frank Warren and BoxNation, believe he will be a future star – especially in Dublin as he is from the heart of the city.
The fights will be his first since moving back from the USA and he is hoping to get to fight in the UK and for the first time in his home country, Ireland.
Kavanagh has got his eyes on the prize and by next year he wants to be a serious world title prospect.
He said: “This is the move I have wanted to make for a while, I ?m really looking forward to making my mark on this side of the world and getting started.”
MGM Promotions are delighted to sign Jamie Kavanagh.
“We intend to get him better known by the public by getting him big domestic fights in Ireland and the UK live on TV,” they said. “People forget he is only 25 as he has had 19 fights which were nearly all away in Mexico or L.A. We believe Jamie is already up there with the top lightweights in Europe and are keen to get him going.”
