Floyd Mayweather Jr would only rank Muhammad Ali as the fifth best fighter of all time after revealing his all-time list recently.
The current unified welterweight and super welterweight champion, who labels himself ‘TBE’ or ‘The Best Ever’, placed himself above greats like Roberto Duran, Pernell Whitaker, Julio Cesar Chavez and Ali as the greatest boxer to have ever lived.
The surprise exclusions were that of legendary Sugar Ray’s Leonard and Robinson who were nowhere to be seen as Mayweather chose his top 5 from a ten-strong selection.
The 38 year-old also left out Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis and Henry Armstrong as the pound for pound king prepares for his final fight on September 12.
Mayweather is set to face Andre Berto in a clash widely criticised by fans and media alike which has ‘Money’ at 100/1 on to win with some bookmakers.
