Former three-time World Champion Malcolm Klassen lands on British shores for the first time in almost 13 years as he looks to build towards one more crack at a world title.
Klassen, who is now based under top trainer Johnney Roye at his base in Preston, is excited at what could happen in the future.
“I am happy and enjoying life and enjoying training” Klassen went on to say, who appears extremely confident heading into a scheduled six round contest on September 12th at Preston’s Evogue Nightclub, a bill topped by fellow South African Tshifhiwa Munyai as he looks to gain a world ranking in a fight that is also a final eliminator to face the winner of Josh Warrington vs Joel Brunker.
Malcolm Klassen alongside Munyai, has ambitions recapturing a world title. To fight fans in the UK have not come across Klassen in the past he is a delight to watch in the ring, a top operator who has shared the ring with the very best including former Floyd Mayweather opponent Robert Guerrero.
When asking Klassen about who he is looking at fighting, at Super Featherweight or Lightweight his response was, “I am ready for anyone, I don’t care, I will fight anyone”.
The 33 year old, clean liver, who lives in the gym, is a great addition to the British fight scene and looks to be targeting the best we have in Britain including Liam Walsh and Stephen Smith.
