Sam Kynoch for MGM Promotions presents another excellent evening of boxing in Edinburgh on September 5th from the Meadowbank Sports Centre. The show which is topped by Stephen Simmons is brimming with top quality prospects from the local areas in what only can be a great thing for Scottish boxing.
One fighter who is having his second fight under the MGM banner on the bill is Airdrie Super Middleweight David Brophy. The undefeated Brophy seems to have been given a new lease of life in boxing since he has been managed by the team out at MGM Marbella and could not be more grateful to his manager Daniel and promoter Sam Kynoch from MGM Scotland for helping get his name out to the boxing public and to see his career starting to progress at the pace most around him expect it too!
It is said a happy fighter is a dangerous fighter and that is what David Brophy. During an interview with MGM Scotland today, Brophy emphasises how happy he feels to be topping bills and how he is excited to be fighting on an regular basis under the MGM brand, targeting another 3 fights before the end of this year.
Asking David about his last performance he mentions how it was good to shake the cobwebs off and believes that the longer the fight goes, the better David Brophy you will see. This was seen in his last contest against the fit and game Darren McKenna, as Brophy took control later in the fight and some would argue could have forced the stoppage in what was a good learning fight for the rising Super Middleweight.
David is now entering his hardest part of camp, which he thanks his sponsors for helping to make happen, in what is looking to be a 6 round contest in Edinburgh as he targets titles in the coming months. Brophy who is a model pro and is always fit and in the gym, looks destined to give the fans another entertaining performance at the Meadowbank Sports Centre.
Tickets are still available from all boxers on the bill and from the MGM Scotland gym in Glasgow!
