The WBC champion is currently working out the details of his second defense of the title on September 26, possibly in Las Vegas, after which the undefeated ‘Bronze Bomber’ would like a unification with Klitschko or upcoming foe Fury.
“Klitschko versus Fury is a great fight and we at Team Wilder will watch and are eager to face the winner,” Jay Deas, who also trains Wilder exclusively told World Boxing News.
“In truth, both names would be big business for Deontay, but I have a ton of respect for both guys and can’t wait for this fight!
“Wladimir is a first ballot hall of famer for a reason. He will be much more appreciated after he retires than he is now, similar to Mayweather. He’s been so good for so long that people take it for granted.
“As for Fury, the guy knows how to win. He’ll do whatever it takes to get the advantage and I respect him for that.
“I personally know people on both sides of this fight so I’m not going to make a prediction. Both fighters are in great hands in terms of their corners.
“There will be a true battle of strategy going on in the corners with adjustments being made throughout,” he added.
Wilder, 29, has been linked to fighting Chris Arreola, Lucas Browne or Vyacheslav Glazkov next before stipulated WBC duties are due against former world champion Alexander Povetkin.
Facing Povetkin is something that can be initially bypassed by Wilder as unifications outweigh mandatory obligations and would set up a chance for one fighter to rule all as the ultimate king of the division.
Wilder v Klitschko or Fury would be a huge stateside affair, possibly on pay-per-view, and shed a welcome spotlight on boxing’s highest weight class – something that has been lacking since the days of heavyweight greats Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.
