WBN P4P Update: Thurman breaks top 20, Nietes makes move

Phil Jay 13/07/2015

Keith Thurman’s victory over Luis Collazo saw the WBA welterweight champion push into the WBN Pound for Pound Top 50 for the first time in his career.

The big-punching American is well on his way to a top ten place in future on current form and is now only behind Floyd Mayweather, Danny Garcia, Timothy Bradley and Amir Khan at 147lbs.

Long-reigning light flyweight title holder Donnie Nietes also made a charge up the rankings with his latest defense of the WBO belt and has now moved up 14 places since the beginning of the year following two knockout victories.

Despite scoring a first round knockout over Francesco Pianeta, there is still no place for two-time WBA heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev.
