Saturday night saw MGM’s Thomas Stalker draw in a Liverpool derby against Tommy Carus at the Velodrome in Manchester on the Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda undercard.
It was a closely fought eight rounds, with the fourth and fifth particularly strong for Stalker. However, it was just not enough to secure a win.
MGM Marbella were ringside and said the following on the contest; “It was a great fight with two Scousers but we thought that Tom edged it. Fair play to Carus for a brave fight though.”
Stalker was obviously disappointed and he was also confident he had won.
“A draw on Saturday night felt like a loss to me. I was sure I had won five of the eight rounds. I’m not the judge and credit has to go to Tommy’s Legs.”
Despite the setback, its onwards and upwards as Tom is already back training for his next win.
